I cannot believe that it will be September at the end of the week. Time really flies by, doesn't it? My fall school schedule is in full swing, the days are getting shorter, and the weather is starting to change. My closet is being rearranged and all the light coats and layers are slowly creeping to the front. I can't deny that fall is my favorite season, consisting of pumpkin lattes, knit sweaters, and changing leaves. What are you most looking forward to?

Top: J. Crew  /  Skirt: H&M  /  Jacket: Max Studio  /  Heels: Franco Sarto  /  Bag: DKNY  /  Jewels: Stella & Dot + Michael Kors  /  Sunglasses: Madewell  /  Lipstick: NARS "Heat Wave"

Last week I had a few computer problems. At first, I thought it was the end of the world, but I realized relaxation and no technology was just what the doctor ordered. I got to spend time with friends, walk around Pittsburgh, and had some yummy fro-yo. Although no technology was nice, it's glad to be back with a working computer and some outfit photos for you all this week.

September 13th cannot come sooner. I am totally anticipating the new collaboration between 3.1 Phillip Lim and Target. These are just a few pieces I love from the collection. Gold, blue, and black shades are perfect for fall, and I am especially craving the sleek lines and art prints. You might see me at Target the morning of September 13th, shopping until I'm dropping.

My favorite items in my closet are the ones I can wear over and over again, but styled many different ways. I found myself wearing this black skirt quite often this weekend and wanted to show you how I wear it in four different looks. Whether I am headed to a girls' lunch or evening affair, or feel like dressing preppy or edgy, a plain black skirt is definitely a wardrobe staple in my closet.

Jacket: American Eagle  /  Shirt: American Eagle  /  Skirt: H&M  /   Shoes: Falchi  /  Jewelry: c/o American Eagle  /  Belt: American Eagle  /  Bag: Emma Fox  /  Lipstick: NARS "Dolce Vita"  /  Sunglasses: Madewell

1. A flirty skirt, denim jacket, and fun wedges are perfect items for a lunch with your best girlfriends. Don't be afraid to mix prints, especially plaid and leopard for a cool vibe.

Jacket: American Eagle  /  Shirt: American Eagle  /  Skirt: H&M  /  Shoes: Dolce Vita  /  Jewelry: Urban Outfitters, AE, Kate Spade  /  Bag: DKNY  /  Lipstick: Clinique "Heftiest Hibiscus"  /  Sunglasses: American Eagle

2. I like to keep my hands free when I am running errands and off to classes. Grab your black skirt, favorite satchel, and colorful loafers for an easy, yet chic, look.

Top: Forever 21  /  Vest: c/o American Eagle  /  Skirt: H&M  /  Shoes: American Eagle  /  Hat: Target  /  Bag: DKNY  /  Lipstick: NARS "Heat Wave"  /  Sunglasses: DKNY

3. Who says you can't be casual in a skirt? For a day of walking around the city, opt for your favorite black skirt paired with sneakers and a baseball hat. Add a bold red lip for fun.

Jacket: c/o American Eagle  /  Dress (worn as shirt): unknown brand  /  Skirt: H&M  /  Shoes: Target  /  Jewelry: H&M  /  Clutch: Banana Republic  /  Lipstick: NARS "Funny Face"  /  Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabbana

4. Bring on the sequins and leather for an evening affair. For a dressy occasion, play with some texture and a fun sequin tank or sweater to go with your little black skirt... and don't forget the heels!

Shirt: Nicole Richie for Impulse  /  Dress (worn as skirt): unknown brand  /  Heels: Asos  /  Necklace: Urban Outfitters  /  Lipstick: NARS "Funny Face"  /  Sunglasses: Madewell

When I am wearing an all black outfit, I like to incorporate some funky shoes and jewelry into the mix. You can never go wrong with a chunky necklace or bold clutch. How do you spice up a simple black look?

classic  /  color block  /  snake print  /  basic  /  bold color  /  tassels  /  suede  /  studded  /  metallic

What's better than a bunch of gorgeous fall handbags on a Friday? Nothing. Seriously, I am in love with all of these options ranging at all different price points. Which one is your favorite? I think I am leaning towards the color block and snake print options.

Shirt: c/o American Eagle  /  Chambray: American Eagle  /  Pants: American Eagle  /  Sneakers: Superga  /  Bag: DKNY  /  Hat: Target  /  Watch: Kate Spade  /  Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabbana  /  Lipstick: NARS "Heat Wave"

For today's look, it's all about leather details with a casual vibe. And call me crazy, but I secretly like it when I have a bad hair day so I have yet another excuse to wear a chic leather baseball cap. Okay, you caught me. I'll make up any excuse to wear one; I even have a Pinterest board dedicated to them.

Jacket: c/o American Eagle  /  Shirt: Zara  /  Skirt: H&M  /  Clutch: J. Crew  /  Heels: Target  /  Lipstick: NARS "Funny Face"

I have a love-hate relationship with bright pink. Sometimes it reminds me of my Barbie's clothes when I was a little kid, and sometimes it reminds me of a chic, fun color spotted on a fashionable stylist. I guess you could say that I am loving hot pink right now; especially paired with a black leather jacket and messy hair to really toughen up the look. What colors are you loving right now?

Shirt: J. Crew  /  Jacket: American Eagle  /  Skirt: Gap  /  Shoes: Wanted  /  Bag: DKNY  /  Belt: H&M  /  Sunglasses: Madewell  /  Lipstick: Clinique "Heftiest Hibiscus"

I feel like I can never go wrong with a striped shirt paired with jeans or a flirty skirt. I wore this look over the weekend, which consisted of reading (I can definitely cross summer reading off my list), making smores at night, and hanging out with my family. I am enjoying the end of sumer and making sure to soak up some sun, but I secretly can't wait for the cooler fall breeze... and more importantly the fall fashion. (Oh, you know you are excited too!)

Also, I am partnering up with Modest Fashionista for a great giveaway, sign up here.

Outfit 1:  Beanie, Shirt, Pants, Bag, Flats  //   Outfit 2:  Jacket, Tee, Skirt, Bag, Heels, Sunglasses  //   Outfit 3:  Hat, Shirt, Jeans, Backpack, Oxfords

For fall, I am all about sleek lines in bold, rich colors. It reminds me of some of the looks I would wear if I lived in New York City. (I hope to one day!) For now, I'll be wearing beanies and red pumps around the streets of Pittsburgh. Oh, and don't forget about chic leather jackets too!

Hi! I am Maddie. I am Meaghann's little sister, and I am taking over the blog today. This tutorial will show you how to do one of my favorite nail art designs: cheetah print! For this design you will need:

- nude nail polish
- light brown nail polish
- dark brown or black nail polish
- a bobby pin
- a clear plastic bag
- any nail polish topcoat

STEP #1: Paint all of your nails with the nude polish. Let them dry completely.

STEP #2: Next, take the plastic bag and put a few drops of the light brown polish on it.  Take the bobby pin and separate it by bending one side backwards so it makes a "V." This will serve as your dotting tool for the cheetah spots. Bobby pins are great for creating dots. (I use the plastic bag because it makes it much easier to dip the bobby pin in the drops of polish rather than dipping it into the bottle itself.)

STEP #3: Dip one of the tips of the bobby pin into the light brown polish on the plastic bag and start making small dots on the nail. Let the dots dry.

STEP #4: Next, put a few drops of the dark brown/black polish on the plastic bag and dip one of the tips of the bobby pin into it. To make the darker part of the cheetah spot, I like to make tiny "C's" around the light brown dots with the dark brown. Feel free to add additional small spots with the dark brown. You can put cheetah print on all of your nails or just create accent nails like I did. Let the spots dry.

STEP #5: Finish off with any topcoat of your choice! (I used a matte topcoat I found at Sephora; you don't want your cheetah spots to look too shiny.)

Use these steps for some fun weekend nails! And don't forget to check back all weekend long for some more awesome outfit and inspiration posts.

Top: American Eagle  /  Jeans: American Eagle  /  Heels: Asos  /  Bag: DKNY  /  Necklace: Madewell  /  Bracelets: Madewell & House of Harlow 1960  /  Sunglasses: Kenneth Cole  /  Lipstick: Clinique "Heftiest Hibiscus"

Lately, I have been a huge fan of an olive color in jackets, pants, and blouses. I was excited to find this color in a feminine silhouette. It's the perfect balance of feminine and cool. And can you believe it's August?! The time really flies. You'll find me soaking up some sun and warm weather while I can.
